Who We AreTeam 7617- The RoboBlazers is an FRC team founded by University High School students in 2019 who have a love for learning and a passion for STEM. They are a student-driven team consisting of about 20-25 students that are supported by adult mentors. They are completely funded by fundraising efforts allowing students from all backgrounds to join the team without a participation fee, because robotics should be open to everyone.
Our SponsorsOur team is currently sponsored by Micro Commercial Components, CIM Robotics in partnership with ABB, The Palley-Bladen Family Foundation, Elevance Health Foundation, IMEG Corp, GoEngineer, IVM Auto, the Fiur Family, Jim and Doris Eck, and the Wang Family.
What is FIRST Robotics?F.I.R.S.T means "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology". The FIRST Robotics Competition strives to foster interest in STEM fields of high school students all over the world. Teams work over the course of a six week build period to build a robot capable of completing specific tasks. The program builds problem-solving, time-management, teamwork, and technical skills to make robotics accessible to high-school-age students as would not have otherwise been possible.
